About this piece

Gran Turismo on the original PlayStation changed racing games with its realistic simulation, deep car customization and extensive vehicle roster. Precision and detail are at the heart of the experience.

It set a new standard for the genre and blurred the line between arcade and simulation racing. A landmark title for PS1 collectors and the starting point for anyone following the Gran Turismo series from the beginning. It still makes a fascinating look at where modern racing sims began.
