About this piece
Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest for the NES is the Konami sequel that blended action-platforming with RPG elements. It introduced an open world and day-night cycles to the series.
Its cryptic clues and tough difficulty make it a divisive entry, but it remains a unique and influential one with a distinct, atmospheric feel. Castlevania collectors will want it to complete their NES trilogy. It is a game for players who like to explore and piece things together.
