About this piece

Darksiders II on the PlayStation 3 casts you as Death, exploring vast realms and battling demons. It combines hack-and-slash combat, intricate puzzle-platforming and robust RPG elements.

There are some technical hiccups, but Death’s fluid movement and diverse abilities make for an engaging, epic quest through a unique, stylized world. A natural follow-up for fans of the first Darksiders, with more exploration and character building to enjoy. Building up Death’s abilities over time gives the adventure a satisfying sense of progress.
