About this piece
R2-D2, the plucky astromech droid, was one of the first figures in the vintage Kenner Star Wars Basic Series. This piece was released by Kenner in 1977. It is a classic example of the Basic Series figures many fans grew up with.
If you are building out the vintage Star Wars line one figure at a time, this R2-D2 figure deserves a place in the lineup. It displays nicely beside related characters and brings the classic Kenner look to any shelf.
