About this piece

Super Mario Kart for the Super Nintendo is where Nintendo’s kart racing series began. It delivers sprite-based racing with iconic characters and inventive items, all built on Mode 7 graphics.

Tight controls and its blend of racing and combat keep it endlessly fun, and its influence on the series is clear. A must-play piece of history for SNES collectors and Mario Kart fans. Grab a second player and the item-fueled racing still makes for a lively friendly rivalry.
