About this piece

Darksiders on the PlayStation 3 blends hack-and-slash combat with Zelda-style puzzles in a post-apocalyptic world. You play as War, one of the Four Horsemen, and it is a brutal delight.

There are some technical rough edges, but an engaging story, satisfying combat and diverse dungeons make it a compelling, underrated action-adventure. A smart pick for players who enjoy dungeon puzzles mixed with heavy combat, and the first step before Darksiders II.
